Our Wedding Countdown

Adetokunbo ("Toks")

The Matron of Honor

As the sister of the bride, I have had the unique pleasure of having front row seats of this love story blossom between Tola & Kennedy! One of my fondest memories in Chapter #AnywhereUgo, is in their early stages when Kennedy wrote a bunch of love notes for a scavenger hunt in Tola’s apartment to tell her he loved her. The way Tola’s soul smiled from the inside out (& still does to this day), I knew God lead her to her person. To the person who matches her fly, syncs with her spiritually, complements her compassion, parallels her intellectually, aligns with her ambition & loves her out loud, Kennedy 🤍🙏🏿

Leslie

The Maid of Honor

Tola and I have been friends since 2012 but we got much closer after 2014. One of my favorite memories with Tola was a random college night when we were in bed and we somehow talked each other into getting dressed for a party. I still don’t know how we managed to make that Philly train but I remember the adrenaline rush while getting on and just thinking “this girl is just as wild as me.” Kennedy and Tola both bring so much love and joy to one another. It warms my heart seeing them dance when we’re out; it’s as if no one else is around and they’re both their own world appreciating one another. May God always remain the center of your relationship! I pray there is always love, respect, laughs, understanding, and peace. I love you both so much!

Anthonia ("Dare")

Bridesmaid

Hey everyone! My name is Anthonia and I am Tola’s cousin. I met Kennedy at Tola’s law school graduation. When I met Kennedy, he was such a gentleman to Tola and carried himself as a leader. The way he uplifted Tola and she uplifted him was a beautiful sight to see. Tola and I have grown up together and share so many memories as kids together. From sleep overs to our parents celebrating accomplishments together. Im wishing Tola and Kennedy a life of beautiful memories, blessings, and just everlasting happiness. Cant wait for the big day! Love you guys!

Charrae ("Charlie")

Bridesmaid

Hey!! I am Charrae but I am called Charlie by most. I was blessed to meet Tola about 12 years ago on the campus of Villanova U before freshman year. She was stylist woman of color with her denim shorts and was at the salad bar getting some fruit and I thought- Oh! She is about to be my friend. She was a little ehh at first but I grew on her (lol). Since then, I have blessed to ride with her through like from bushes to law school to homeowner to WIFEY! I am excited to be apart of this special day with Kennedy and Tola. May the Lord continue to bless this union.

Ebonie

Bridesmaid

Hey everyone! My name is Ebonie. I met both Kennedy & Tola in 2020 at her birthday brunch. As soon as I seen the itinerary and name cards on the bed, I knew that was my type of girl! There’s too many to choose from but my favorite memory with Tola is when we spent a night out in DC eating suya, listening to Afrobeats just to leave and spend the rest of the night talking. I’m wishing a life of love, blessings and prosperity to the lovely couple. I can’t wait for the vibes and LOOKS at the wedding. I already know the couples going to exceed our expectations! I can’t wait to dance all night! Love you guys 🫶🏾

Kelsey

Bridesmaid

Hey, I’m Kels! I’m the grooms only sister. The only girl in our house, but it only took a few years for God to give me the big sister I always wanted. I remember when my brother first told us about Tola, “she’s pretty, she’s smart, and she’s Nigerian.” A beautiful intelligent woman already accustomed to our culture. As years went by I saw exactly what he meant. With timing on our side, we were able to form our own relationship outside of my brother. Its honestly like he knew I needed her too. So as the only girl, Im very grateful to call her my only sister. I love you guys!! May God bless your union!

Matilda ("Dami")

Bridesmaid

Hi Guys my name is Matilda, and I have known Tola since the 6th grade, Tola is such an amazing and caring friend, something I love about her is how intentional she is. Some hobbies I enjoy are spending time with my family and playing in my makeup. I am so excited to be a part of Tola and Ken’s bridal party, praying that God blesses their Union immensely, I have my dancing shoes ready ooo! I love y’all🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍#AnywhereUgo2025

Precious

Bridesmaid

My name is Precious Daniel Edem and am honored to be a bridesmaid. Tola and I met in law school in 2016 and have been friends ever since. Tola inspired me to push harder in law school and to lean on God no matter the season as she did. I’m thankful that not only was I blessed with a great friendship with Tola but she guided me to grow my faith in God. I pray many blessings upon the marriage of Tola and Kennedy and look forward to celebrating them on the dance floor!!

Shondelle

Bridesmaid

Hi everyone! My name is Shondelle and I was blessed to meet Tola 12 years ago at Villanova University. We were roommates our Sophomore year and had the best time studying, eating, growing, and of course partying together! Tola is such a beautiful person both inside and out and I’m so excited for her to take this next step with the love of her life Kennedy. From the bottom of my heart I’m wishing the couple a life of love, peace, prosperity, and abundance. Cheering you on and loving you always!

Taylor

Bridesmaid

Hi my name is Taylor. I’ve been honored to call her one of my best friends and someone I can confide in. Our friendship flourished playing soccer together being my big left Toe to sleepovers and being chased by deers. If you know her love then you are one of the lucky ones. XJ and I are very grateful to have her in our lives. She is strong beautiful intelligent driven kind generous and deserves everything her heart desires. I pray for happiness and fruitfulness in this union between Tola and Kennedy!! Love you both!

Vi

Bridesmaid

I had the pleasure of meeting Tola in 2012 when we were on campus during the summer before freshman year. And we have been friends ever since! Tola is an amazing soul and so inspirational. I wish her and Kennedy so much love as they enter this next stage of life. Cannot wait to see the next chapters of their love story!

Yinka

Bridesmaid

Hi, I’m Yinka, Tola’s unofficial little sister. Tola and I grew up going to church together so I’ve known her all my life. Her ambition and drive to get everything she wants out of life all while still being such a selfless person, it’s a no brainer Kennedy put a ring on her finger! I wish the beautiful couple a lifetime of happiness, God’s grace and healthy beautiful babies. Love you ❤️

Donte ("Ali")

The Best Man

I met Kenrock in 2009 on our way to a basketball game. We had the same sneakers on and both had a wave brush. Been inseparable ever since. Met Tola at Kenrocks house in Willingboro while we were all still in college. Next time I seen her, Kennedy was part of the family and was helping her moving into her condo in Rittenhouse. Of course I had to help as well. Safe to say she’s been my family since then too

Carlos ("Los")

Groomsman

It was destiny for Kennedy to become my brother. Coaches put us on the same flight during a recruitment trip. We had zero idea who each other was and with vague information given from the coaches we both were just looking for another tall guy. That weekend we both committed to UMass Lowell (I definitely wouldn’t of committed if it wasn’t for Kennedy) and I gained a brother, somebody you can count on to come through even if it’s all the way in Jamaica.

Kingsley ("Chima")

Groomsman

I’m Kingsley Chukwuocha, the delighted younger brother of Kennedy Chukwuocha . As a fashion designer, I love crafting unique styles that highlight individuality and creativity. Growing up with Kennedy has been an amazing experience, filled with laughter, adventures, and valuable lessons. His unwavering support has played a significant role in shaping who I am today. I’m excited to celebrate this special day as he begins a beautiful new chapter with Adetola . Here’s to love, style, and unforgettable moments!

Dennis ("Stackz")

Groomsman

Kenrock, my first vet that showed me the ropes back in the summer of 2011 going into my freshman year of highschool. As a young skinny incoming freshman in search to earn a spot on the boys varsity basketball team, I had to go through Rock, who at the time was a Junior. Just imagine a 6’3 150 pound kid going up against a 6’6 205 pound Goliath. Needless to say, Kenrock was That Guy on and off the basketball court. A true role model and inspiration. The two years we shared together at Medtech were filled with a whole lot of unforgettable memories. Kenrock is not only just a close friend to me but is one that I can call my brother for life. Later down the lines I finally got to meet the love of his life, Tola, who I can call family as well.

Elijah ("Eazy")

Groomsman

I met Rock back in the summer of 2011 at an RV basketball tournament. It was my first time playing with MedTech and I could immediately tell who the big dawg was and Rock being Rock, he brought me right along and made me feel comfortable and the rest is history, literally. He’s been one of my four best friends for the last 10 plus years now. I met Tola a few years after and knowing the two of them honestly has changed my idea of what a real relationship is supposed to look like. Safe to say they both are my family now.

Ileka

Groomsman

Dr. Ileka Ifejika is a public health trained Doctor of Pharmacy and resides in Los Angeles, California. One of 5 siblings and a twin brother. He met Kennedy during his graduate schooling at Thomas Jefferson University as Kennedy was walking back from the gym on a random early semester day in August of 2017 an immediate brotherhood was formed and together created the first Black Student Union of the university in over 2 decades. Outside of that have shared many common interests. Both being Nigerian men from the Igbo tribe on a mission to make the world a better place for all.

Kenneth ("Kenny")

Groomsman

One of my first memories in my life was mom and dad telling us to call you brother instead of your actual name. Obviously I questioned why, and they didn’t really explain much but they emphasized that it was a sign of respect. I even remember my young friends asking why we didn’t just call you by your name and we would explain how it was a sign of respect. Having to explain that over and over again at first was a little awkward and annoying, but it eventually turned into a really cool thing we did and unique. I started to take pride in the fact we called you brother and my friends would see it and would also think it was pretty cool too. Even to the point they were envious about the fact I had an older brother worthy of that level of respect. It all makes sense now. You’ve always been an inspiration to me I know you’ll continue to do so. Congratulations and Love you Brother.

Lamine ("Gucci")

Groomsman

My name is Lamine Cooper. I met Ugo fall 2008 at BCIT. I was entering my sophomore year as he was beginning his freshman year of high school. Basketball was one of the first things that brought us together to later on find out we relate to so many different aspects of life. Fortunately I’ve been able to be there for all the special moments in your life. I’m excited to be apart of this special day celebrating you and Tola!

Myles ("Nutty")

Groomsman

I met Rock my 8th grade summer going into High School at Milcreek park at a 6am run & if anyone know me you know that’s when I was a Fat Boy and only thing I cared about was shooting the ball. 14 years old you don’t really understand what “working hard” is… well that morning meeting Rock changed my life, He mad sure everyone there felt his impact without saying a word & it was a beautiful thing to see! Ever since that day Kenrock has had something to do with my career whether that was him passing me the ball to hit a 3 or me calling/texting him at 3 in the morning about one of my many injuries no matter what he has always been there for me and believed in me. Kenrock you are everything a little brother could ask for in a big brother and I’m beyond thankful to have you in my life! I can’t wait to see and be apart of this next journey with you & Tola.

Stefano ("Fano")

Groomsman

Knowing Kennedy was God’s doing, we first met when I was getting physical therapy and Kennedy was my therapist, from there we became close from working out together to taking birthday trips out of the country with Adetola. Since I met Kennedy and Adetola we’ve gotten closer and closer throughout the years. I am blessed to call them my family.

Tyreek ("Reek")

Groomsman

Hi, I’m Tyreek Carter known to everyone as “Reek”. Originally from Philly but claim “da
boro” as home too! Being that I’m the big brother lol, I didn’t have interactions with
Kennedy or Tola in middle school. It wasn’t until my sophomore year of high school I
met a 6’3 African kid who we all strongly convinced to stay and play ball with us. Now
we have been brothers for over 10 plus years and I am proud to see him marry the love
of his life. From battling on the court, suitemates in college, and now being each other’s
groomsmen!

Ugo

Groomsman

My name is Dr. Ugo Onyeagoro and I am a General Surgeon. I first met Ugo through his cousin William at a healthcare conference a few years ago. From the moment we spoke, it felt like reuniting with a long-lost twin. Since that serendipitous encounter, we’ve been inseparable, sharing countless memories and dreams. To our amazement, we discovered we were not only from the same town and neighborhood in Nigeria but had also followed remarkably similar paths in the USA. A few months later, I had the profound joy of meeting my now sister-in-law, Tola. My initial thought was, "What a blessed pair, truly meant to be!" Over the years, our friendship has deepened, and I feel incredibly grateful to witness the growth of their special union.
